The 50´s, 60´s and 70´s: the beginning

The decade of the 50´s was the start for Latexco. In 1955 Sylvain Maes, father of current CEO Luc Maes, founded this family-owned industrial company.

The 80´s: a new chapter

While Latexco during the 60’s was active in 2 industries (bedding and upholstery), Latexco now exclusively focuses on the manufacturing of latex foam components for the bedding industry.

The 90´s: national expansion

In order to provide an even better customer service we founded Latexco Handling, the logistics centre in Belgium, in 1995. Due to the growing importance of the environment and Latexco ´s belief to realise a positive contribution in this area, Latexco Recycling, the recycling centre for latex scrap, was founded at the end of this decade.

The 21st century: international growth

In 2001 the production facility in Indonesia was founded and the sales office Latexco Asia Pacific Ltd. was set up in Singapore. In 2004 we founded the US sales office Latexco US Inc. and in 2005 we started up production and logistics in La Almunia (Zaragoza-Spain). In 2007 we also started with a production and confection unit in Lavonia, Georgia “Latexco LLC” and a confection and distribution centre in Los Angeles “Latexco West”, California (USA).

The future

We shifted the traditional focus of mere production to one that is broader and also includes marketing, without losing sight of the importance of continuous improvement in the production area. We consider the development of new products and markets to be the best guarantee for a successful future.
